Social Action and Outreach

 

United Church is a church that is committed to service.  This is reflected in our "motto":  United in Love, United to Serve and in a variety of programs that are part of our life together.

 

Twice a year we host Phoenix Housing, a program of housing and support services for homeless families.

 

Four times a year we staff My Sister's Pantry, a food and clothing bank in Tacoma.

 

We collect food and clothing for food and clothing banks in the local area.

 

We participate in Associated Ministries Hunger Walk and Blanket Drive each year.

 

We hold an Alternative Christmas Gift Fair the first Sunday of Advent.

 

Our outreach also includes supporting the work of the United Methodist Church and the United Church of Christ through our financial support and other special offerings such as One Great Hour of Sharing.

 

Youth Mission trip each summer.

 

Provide space for community groups.
